Why Biodanza…

We move beyond words: Biodanza is a non-verbal practice that allows you to express joy, tenderness, playfulness, longing, gratitude and connection safely through movement rather than explanation.

Through themed Vivencias, guided dance journeys, Biodanza creates a warm container for celebration, where we use movement to bridge the gap between everyday life and deeper presence, aliveness and belonging.

In the dances, we don’t have to find the right words, or any words at all. We simply allow the body to lead, letting movement open the heart, soften the mind and bring us back into connection with ourselves and each other.

Christmas can sometimes feel busy, pressured or disconnected. Dancing in a group reminds us that celebration can be simple, embodied and real, rooted in warmth, community and the joy of being together.

Permission for Joy: Biodanza gently reminds us that joy, pleasure and vitality are not extras in life, but part of what nourishes us. Through music, movement and shared presence, we remember how good it feels to be alive, connected and part of something meaningful.

Anna Sadler

Biodanza Teacher, Soul Midwife, Director of No One Dies Alone Cornwall C.I.C
My dance journey began at age three with formal training that laid the foundation for the healing service I now offer in Biodanza. I trained with Niraj at the Dorset School of Biodanza in 2017 and have been facilitating ever since. Biodanza, for me, is far more than movement — it is a journey of cultivating a compassionate heart. Based in Cornwall, I lead women’s Biodanza, family sessions, and a trusted regular group with committed dancers. I’m passionate about creating sacred spaces where dancers are invited into soulful connection, to shine both on and off the dance floor.

I’m also Director and Founder of No One Dies Alone Cornwall C.I.C., where I facilitate bereavement circles, grief dances, and holistic end-of-life support, including companionship for the dying. This work brings compassionate, tender care to individuals and families at times that matter most, and it deeply informs the empathy and presence I bring to all my teaching.

Milarepa Burgin

Biodanza Teacher, Co-Leader of the Dorset School of Biodanza, Embodiment Facilitator

My first experience of Biodanza was with Niraj during the Spring Festival at Osho Leela in 2006. That initial vivencia had a deeply profound effect on my life, something which continues to resonate even now, and I remember saying to Niraj “if you ever decide to train people in this, you can count me in”.

After almost 20 years of dancing, with nearly 15 of those years as a facilitator, it feels that life has come full-circle as we now welcome a new cohort to Osho Leela to begin a new cycle of this incredible training.
