Holistic Tango Retreat

Musicality - Connection - Flow

18th – 20th December 2026
with Yanna / Navanita

Join us for the Winter edition of the gorgeous Tango Retreat with Yanna / Navanita & Friends.

The second retreat held at The Leela Centre in beautiful Dorset!

It promises to be a juicy, rejuvenating, exhilarating and wholesome weekend, enjoying time out for you, whilst learning and/or deepening your experience and ability of the Argentine Tango in our friendly setting.

We have an amazing tango team assisting our retreat. Cathy & Joseph are back, and I’m excited to also welcome my friend Jonathan, fresh back from Argentina, to join us! They are all warm, vibrant and trusted people, as well as beautiful tango dancers. They all dance both roles, and will support, share and no doubt inspire everyone to get the most from this Holistic Tango Weekend.

Nartan studied the Satyananda Yoga tradition in India. In her sessions, she gently weaves movement, with breath & meditation in a focussed yet accessible way.

This retreat includes Five Tango Workshops, Two Guided Practicas, One Tango Lab Session with Q&A, and a ‘Milonguita’ (an intimate social dance evening also open to a limited number of local tango dancers).

Alongside tango, the weekend offers Yoga meditation, breath-work, biodynamics, sauna time and tasty nourishing vegetarian meals, creating a holistic balance for wellbeing.

Over the weekend we will explore and dance to beautiful traditional tango music, as well as some juicy alternative tunes.

In our tango lessons we will cover topics such as: Musicality, Balance, Creativity and Connection, building on Core Elements Technique, and Flowing Vocabulary.

Your Facilitators

Yanna \ Navanita

Yanna, also known as Navanita, is a passionate Argentine Tango dancer, facilitator and creative space holder who brings heart, presence and playful depth into the dance.

With a background in community dance theatre, choreography and performance, she weaves together technique, musicality and authentic connection, inviting dancers to explore tango as both an art form and a living dialogue.

Her approach blends structure with sensitivity — supporting beginners to feel safe and confident whilst encouraging experienced dancers to deepen their embodiment and expression.

Yanna has trained extensively in Argentine Tango over the years, studying with many excellent and wonderful Argentine and European Tango Teachers, including the tango teacher training at El Corte in Holland.

Yanna/Navanita is also a trained Counsellor, Hypnotherapist & Mediator with a keen interest in personal development, ‘Intimacy & Relating’ and authentic communication.

Through her Tango offerings Yanna invites participants into a juicy and connective exploration of presence & comfort in the tango embrace. Drawing from the elements, and core tango technique, we build confidence through the embodied practice, and enjoy the many benefits of this intimate beautiful dance.

Treat yourself or a friend this winter, and join her 2nd Holistic Tango Retreat 18th - 20th December 2026.

Nartan: Yoga sessions

Rooted in the Satyananda tradition, Nartan teaches yoga as a practice of discovering our deeper nature, weaving together movement (asana), breathwork (pranayama) and meditation.

Moving with care and presence cultivates a quiet receptivity, allowing the subtler aspects of ourselves to emerge into awareness, creating space for growth, healing and positive change.

Her classes are focused yet accessible, welcoming complete beginners and experienced practitioners alike. There is no prerequisite to join a class — no particular level of flexibility, fitness or mindset is required. Come as you are.

Yanna Navanita's classes are very very welcoming.  Her clear guidance and leadership promotes confidence in the dance moves.  There was a sense of fun & encouragement that built trust and connection. I in particular connected and met my now partner at Yannas Tango workshop.
