A Celebration of Love, Community & Living Yoga
A Gathering from the Heart
We warmly invite you to the Heart Festival.
Heart Festival is a unique, family-friendly, retreat-style gathering, a small village of love where we come together to share food, meditation, music and joyful connection.
In this spirit of togetherness, we explore more natural, human ways of living and discover how collective love can help heal our world.
This is more than a festival.
It is a space to connect, to soften, and to remember what truly matters.

Padma Devi
Founder of Heart of Living Yoga
-
Founder & President of Heart Of Living Yoga Foundation
“I give, You give, We all receive.”
Padma has been the inspiration of Heart Of Living Yoga and will be leading us all into heart space with a beautiful festival opening ceremony, as well as a special Puja celebration of Anandamayi Ma, sharing Satsangs, meditations, yoga classes and even some laughter yoga!
If you don’t yet know her, she has been practising and living yoga for over 50 years. She is an international yoga teacher who has trained many teachers and ministers and set up several yoga centres, sharing retreats, Satsangs, ceremonies, leading courses and workshops around the world. She is also a mother and grandmother, a professional kinesiologist and a healer who was also in the business world for many years. Living yoga in the heart, her service continues to blossom through the sharing of the Heart Practice, a direct path of meditation which brings us into communion with the Beloved.
In 2006 Rev. Padma went to Sri Lanka to visit an orphanage and ashram where her guru had lived for many years. It was during that visit to Sri Lanka, soon after the tsunami, that she discovered there were children who were worse off outside the orphanage. She asked 2 questions –how can we find them and how can we help? The answer to those questions, began the work of the charity “Heart Of Living Yoga Foundation”, whose projects now spread across 5 countries. You can find out more details and how to help HERE
Padma lives and breathes yoga and service to all, while sharing her joyful heart with everyone. She aims to live as an authentic human being, loving, serving and having fun. Her favourite saying is “Just Love” – she says it is the perfect description of Reality and the only instruction we ever need, all rolled into just two words.

Is this a Hindu festival? Do I need to be part of any yoga community to join in?
Heart Festival is organised by Heart Of Living Yoga which is an interfaith community. Yoga is an ancient indigenous wisdom tradition, far older than Hinduism. What is offered here is a practice of Undoism, allowing yoga and meditation and radical self care and wonderful fun and joy in life to undo the knots that seem to come into our systems. The festival is open to all faiths and none, to people of all yoga traditions and none. Every body is welcome!

Please note there will be official festival photographers and videographers on site. Our intention is always to be as sensitive as possible to our guests experiences, we take that consideration to heart fore-mostly. We also know how much “after-party” joy can be found in the beautiful photo and video memories, which we look forward to sharing with you all. As a growing new festival it is also important for us to capture the spirit of this gathering to help others find us and join the tribe of love. Thank you in advance for understanding and support.
-
We are coming together in the heart for celebration and for healing so we want to make this space as accessible as possible.
The festival will be held in the house and grounds of the Leela Centre, with space for camping, campervans and also the option of glamping accommodation. Rooms in the house and shepherds huts are available with many options.
We recommend that you prepare with sensible footwear waterproofs and warm clothing for the evening (don't forget torches and insect repellent too!). We are also aware that accessibility on to a site like this may feel difficult for some people, with more complex needs and abilities.
So if you are feeling called to join us but are worried about your personal access to the site for whatever reason, including things like needing assistance with putting up tents and carrying heavy luggage to and from your transport, then please do get in touch to discuss this with us so we can hopefully find a way to make this experience accessible to you.
Just to note, there will always be a few wonderful Karma Yogi's and site co-ordinators on site who would be delighted to help as well as a first aid area.
