Fool Expression Level 1
Parts Work - Play - Emboodiement
27th – 29th November 2026
with Christie Animas
What if you could move freely between the different parts in you?
Fool Expression is an embodied exploration of the inner village through movement, relational play, voice, awareness, and expression.
The work is partly inspired by the Fool archetype: the aspect within us that dares to step outside fixed identities, social conditioning, and performance in order to discover something more alive, honest, instinctive, and human. Through playful and experiential practices, participants are invited to explore different energies, emotions, impulses, and parts within themselves.
This workshop draws from Voice Dialogue, embodiment practices, authentic relating, improvisation, emotional awareness, movement, and group process. Rather than trying to fix ourselves or become a better version of ourselves, the space supports a deeper relationship with the many aspects we already contain.
The intention is to create an environment where people can safely experiment with expression, vulnerability, creativity, spontaneity, connection, and emotional truth. Some exercises are playful and light, while others may touch more vulnerable or meaningful places inside.
Fool Expression supports people to discover greater freedom in how they move through life, relationships, creativity, and self-expression, while building more trust in the richness of their inner world.

-
Yes. It is very common to feel both drawn and resistant at the same time.
Often the parts of us that feel hesitant are also the parts carrying tenderness, vulnerability, caution, or uncertainty. When those parts begin to feel safe, they can reveal a wealth of resources, creativity, and aliveness.
This is part of the ground of the practice: learning how to come closer to ourselves in a way that feels nourishing and fulfilling, so that expression can arise naturally.
Many players felt resistance before their first workshop. For many, the experience becomes a relief: a space where they can express, discover, and meet themselves with more freedom, while connecting with others in a genuine and supportive way.
-
Many people have this reaction. The Fool is a powerful archetype that has existed across cultures for centuries, and different Fool practices emphasise different qualities.
In Fool Expression, the Fool is an explorer of the inner world. The practice supports freedom to move between different experiences, emotions, energies, and perspectives within ourselves. It is about discovering greater freedom within.

No previous experience is needed. The invitation is not to perform, but to explore honestly.

We aim to create a consent-aware and supportive environment where participants are encouraged to respect their own pace, boundaries, and capacity. The workshop is also designed to allow the participants to become more familiar with the way they feel safety inside of themselves. The process teaches participants how to access more fluently comfort as well as discomfort.
Fool Expression is not therapy, although many people find it deeply meaningful and transformative. Participants are supported and encouraged to take responsibility for their own wellbeing and to communicate with facilitators when additional support is needed.

Fool Expression is deeply rooted in parts work. Both Voice Dialogue and IFS (Internal Family Systems) are parts work practices that were developed in the 1980s and have been evolving over the past 40+ years. They both offer profound insights into the inner world of parts and how to navigate them. However, Voice Dialogue focuses more specifically on embodying each part from the inside out, allowing you to step beyond them and use their energy at will — a process often referred to as DJing your inner selves. Voice Dialogue also emphasizes understanding the inner politics and dynamics between parts, while encouraging ongoing discovery of new parts or archetypes wanting to be revealed. You can read more about the comparison between these two systems here: Comparing the parts work systems of IFS and Voice Dialogue.
