A Taste of Improv Comedy

Playfulness - Laughter - Respond

11th – 13th December 2026
with Prabuddho

A weekend of fun and playfulness, learning and practicing a selection of Improv games - laughter is guaranteed!

You will move from seriousness to playfulness, and practice responding naturally in the moment and appreciate that your responses and interactions with fellow improvisers - or anyone - are naturally entertaining, frequently humorous, and always engaging.

Sometimes in life we would like to create something but feel stuck, whether that be an event, a painting, a song, or a comedy.  This workshop will ignite the creative spark and teach us the art of producing something from nothing.

This process helps us to respond moment to moment to social, relationship, or work situations that arise in life.  We will find we have more courage to jump into “new” activities or situations, and we will develop more confidence and self-reliance in any situation where we need presentation or relating skills.

Your Facilitator

Prabuddho

Prabuddho enjoys all things theatrical, especially in the vibrant creative atmosphere of Leela. He discovered Improv with Leela resident and Improv maestro John Cremer and has honed his skills (and had fun) on many Improv courses.  He regularly offers workshops for the community, and at Leela festivals.

He enjoys Improv as it’s an amazing way of diving into playfulness and fun, laughter and creativity with others, with simple structures as a guideline, and he is inspired to share this playful space with others.

He is an enthusiastic member of the Leela community and also teaches in higher education in London.

He also enjoys facilitating active meditation techniques involving dance, movement, sound and expression.

This is for you if you wish to …

  • Enrich your life with more fun

  • Experiment with expressing yourself more fully, whether personally or professionally

  • Discover a more playful and creative spirit

Improv has a Zen-like quality that brings the focus of our attention to the present moment and helps us appreciate the humour, ordinariness, and sometimes the absurdity, of each moment.
